It's starting to feel very Autumnal back in London, and so my thoughts turn to markets, the open studio and the Christmas build up - the busiest time of year for me. It's less about the making , designing and printing now and all about SELL SELL SELL!
I start tomorrow at The Old Truman Brewery in Brick Lane - The London Artisan is a great event, organised by DesignerMakers I particularly like it because all the stalls are real people selling their own stuff - nothing mass produced and nothing imported!
The following weekend I will be taking up my regular spot in the gardens of Marylebone Parish Church at the small but beautiful 'Cabbages and Frocks' Market. I will be there every Saturday - unless I am somewhere else, at a special event for example the Open Studio at Sally's Scott's Studio in Putney. This is the fifth year I have done this and it just gets better every year. There are five of us exhibiting this year so lots of variety of things to see and buy; Scupture, Jewellery, Leatherwork as well as painting, prints and of course my homewares and textiles.
